Details of what happened remain unclear but family members say they’re horrified the Calgary medical centre worker was apparently viciously attacked.

Her uncle, Robert Prosser, from his Kingston, N.S. home, said, “She was brutally attacked. They found her in the elevator, laying there beaten quite bad. She was unconscious.”

It could be a month before she is fit to return to Calgary for further treatment, said Prosser.
